About Us

BlueWater Trading Solutions was created as the result of the software spinoff from TradeMaven Group. It has acquired all intellectual property, software and infrastructure from TradeMaven Software with the purpose of becoming the software technology provider for TradeMaven as well as other Introducing Brokers and FCMs.

The spinoff includes all intellectual property, software, educational software add-on products (such as inside edge) and hardware/infrastructure currently in use. The transition will will not result in any disruption of service to our existing customers. Over the next couple of months the new company structure will be implemented and operations will be transitioned which will be a seamless process. All the current sales, support and accounting email addresses and phone numbers at TradeMaven will remain valid until the transition has been completed.

Former Managing Partner and current CTO of TradeMaven Group, Peter Nannis, is the owner and operator of the new venture. Inside Edge will transition to a joint partnership between Charlie Cochran who is a part owner and BlueWater Trading Solutions. The current "level 2" support Manager Chris Shearer will head up the support and customer service functions.

Peter Nannis - Founder and President

In May 2011 Mr Nannis founded Bluewater Trading Solutions Inc. with the purpose of reviving and re-launching the TradeMaven software platform to the public under the new name “Inside Edge Trader”. The venture is the result of Mr Nannis buying back all software and intellectual property from the TradeMaven Group with the purpose of solely bringing state of the art trading software solutions to the retail and professional trader.

Mr Nannis had a 12 year career engineering and developing complex software systems and managing operations at Ericsson Inc. In 2001 Mr Nannis left Ericsson and founded a Professional Services company that provided software development, project management and deployment services.

In 2003 Mr Nannis co-founded TradeMaven Software LLC and focused his efforts on designing and implementing the TradeMaven software platform. The TradeMaven platform has pioneered the trading platform industry with a well-balanced set of features that provides the best possible trading experience.

In December 2005 Mr Nannis became a Managing Partner and CIO/CTO in the TradeMaven Group LLC after the merger of TradeMaven Software LLC and eLocal LLC which was headquartered at the Chicago Board of Trade. The purpose was to combine both software and brokerage into a one stop solution for any trader. Mr Nannis was responsible for all software development and trading infrastructure supporting both retail and professional/floor traders. TradeMaven Group was at one time a registered FCM.

In 2007 Mr Nannis co-founded Investor’s Inside Edge LLC together with Charlie Cochran with the purpose of implementing Charlie’s trading methodology into the software platform and making it available to the public. With superior analytical services supported by a trading software platform our customers get everything they need to succeed.

Currently Mr Nannis is the President of Bluewater Trading Solutions and a Managing Partner of Investor’s Inside Edge LLC.

Mr Nannis holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering since 1989 and a MBA from UC Irvine since 1999.

TradeMaven to Divest its Software Business
May 6th, 2011

TradeMaven Group announced today that it will divest its software business to former Managing Partner and current CTO Peter Nannis effective as of May 1st, 2011. As a result Peter Nannis will acquire all intellectual property, the TradeMaven platform, TradeMaven InsideEdge and associated backend software and hardware. The transaction is not expected to have any material impact on current software subscribers and TradeMaven Group will maintain a strong strategic relationship with Peter Nannis to ensure continuity.

Travis Vincent, President of TradeMaven Group concluded that “adopting a more focused service offering targeting professional and retail brokerage was more aligned with the long term strategic interests of the company.”

Over the course of the next two months the management and support functions of TradeMaven Software and TradeMaven InsideEdge will be transitioned to Peter Nannis and the new venture doing business as BlueWater Trading Solutions. Current email addresses and phone numbers at TradeMaven will remain valid throughout the transition process.

Travis Vincent also added “this strategic move will create a more efficient and purposeful path for the future development of the trading platform which will be beneficial to our customers.”

Peter Nannis, said that “there are several new solutions and product enhancements in development and this transition will ensure that we get the right focus to bring them to market and make them available to other IBs/FCMs and the larger trading community.”
